Bismark Tyobeka

Prof. Bismark Tyobeka, a leading global expert in nuclear power, has extensive experience in program management, technology, and policy development. Since June 2022, he has served as principal and vice-chancellor of North-West University (NWU), where he previously chaired the NWU Council and oversaw major institutional restructuring.

A recipient of the NWU Alumni Award of Excellence, Prof Tyobeka is recognised for his contributions to nuclear science worldwide. His work focuses on the research, development, and deployment of safe and sustainable nuclear energy systems.
